DTC B2719: CTD-Trunk Tamper Switch Fault: Testing
- If body control module diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If body control module diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PZM connectors. See Figure . Using DVOM, measure resistance between PZM connector C2 terminal A7 (Light Blue wire) and ground. See Figure . If resistance is not 0-5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 0-5 ohms, go to step 4 .
- Replace PZM. See PLATFORM ZONE MODULE (PZM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to step 7 .
- Disconnect trunk tamper switch Black 3-pin connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between PZM connector C2 terminal A7 (Light Blue wire) and ground. If resistance is 0-5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is other than 0-5 ohms, go to step 6 .
- Repair short to ground in Light Blue wire between trunk tamper switch and PZM. After repairs, go to step 7 .
- Replace trunk tamper switch. After repairs, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Reconnect all disconnected components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Use scan tool to clear DTCs. Go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
