DTC B1658: EEPROM Checksum Error (Memory Seat Module): Description
Memory Seat Module (MSM) calibrations are stored in the EEPROM. MSM performs internal self-tests on its EEPROM. DTC B1658 will set when stored checksum does not match calculated checksum or when MSM detects a checksum error. When DTC B1658 is set, module will use default values for blocks of EEPROM that are corrupt. DTC will clear when self-test indicates that checksum error is no longer present. History DTC will clear after 50 fault-free ignition cycles. History DTC can also be manually cleared using scan tool.
