Test No. 7: Both Power Mirrors Memory Inoperative In Any Direction

  1. If outside mirrors system check was performed, go to next step. If outside mirrors system check was not performed, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. Using DVOM, measure voltage by backprobing between outside rear view mirror switch connector terminal "H" (Orange wire) and ground. See Figure . If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step  9 .
  3. Using DVOM, measure voltage by backprobing between outside rear view mirror switch connector terminals "A" (Black wire) and "H" (Orange wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step  10 .
  4. Using DVOM, measure voltage by backprobing between outside rear view mirror switch connector terminals "C" (Tan/White wire) and "H" (Orange wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step  11 .
  5. Using DVOM, measure voltage by backprobing between outside rear view mirror switch connector terminals "B" (Brown wire) and "H" (Orange wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step  11 .
  6. Using DVOM, measure voltage by backprobing between outside rear view mirror switch connector terminal "H" (Orange wire) and Memory Mirror Module (MMM) connector C1 terminal F8 (Tan/White wire). See Figure . If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step  12 .
  7. Using DVOM, measure voltage by backprobing between outside rear view mirror switch connector terminal "H" (Orange wire) and MMM connector C1 terminal E8 (Brown wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step  13 .
  8. Replace MMM. See MEMORY MIRROR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  9. Repair open in Orange wire between outside mirror switch and splice S505. See Fig 1 . After repairs, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  10. Repair open in Black wire between outside mirror switch and splice S200 located behind left kick panel. After repairs, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  11. Replace outside mirror switch. See DRIVER'S DOOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  12. Repair open in Tan/White wire between outside rear view mirror and MMM. After repairs, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  13. Repair open in Brown wire between outside rear view mirror and MMM. After repairs, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
