The Ignition 1 On parameter indicates when the VCM is detecting Ignition voltage. The normal Ignition voltage is approximately 13.8 volts, but may vary between 11-16 volts. The VCM monitors the Ignition voltage to compensate for low voltage operation of the injectors and to increase the dwell time of the ignition coil.
