Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the bolts that retain the upper fender brace assembly.
  2. Remove the upper fender brace assembly.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector at the cruise control module.
  5. Remove the nuts retaining the cruise control module to the cowl.

  7. Disconnect the cruise control cable from the module. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL CABLE REPLACEMENT (4.8L, 5.3L, & 6.0L Engines) .
  8. Remove the cruise control module from the vehicle.
