Test 22: Power Mirror Memory Inoperative In One Direction

  1. Perform OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Check for open or short in position sensor wiring between appropriate door control module and appropriate outside power mirror. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  :
    • Left Horizontal - Light Blue/Black wire circuit.
    • Left Vertical - Dark Green/Black wire circuit.
    • Right Horizontal - Light Blue/Black wire circuit.
    • Right Vertical - Dark Green/Black wire circuit.

    If circuit is okay, go to next step. If faulty circuit is found, go to step  4 .

  3. Replace suspect mirror. See POWER MIRROR ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in POWER MIRRORS - SEVILLE article. After repairs, return to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  4. Repair open or short in faulty wiring circuit. After repairs, return to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
