Circuit Description

Fuel pump is powered by fuel pump relay. PCM applies ignition voltage through an ignition feed driver within PCM. Fuel pump relay is activated for about 2 seconds when ignition is first turned on to prime fuel fail assembly. PCM monitors the ignition feed driver for circuit conditions that are incorrect for the commanded state of the driver. DTC will set when PCM detects an improper circuit condition in the fuel pump relay control circuit for at least 10 seconds. Conditions for running this DTC are, engine is running and system voltage is 8-16 volts.
