IAC Position

The scan tool range is 0-255 counts. This parameter displays the PCM commanded position of the idle air control pintle in counts. A larger number of counts indicates a retracted IAC valve which allows more air the idle air passage. The AC position should respond quickly to changes in engine load in order to maintain the desired idle RPM.
