Test 21: Power Mirror Memory Inoperative In Any Direction

  1. Perform OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Check for open or short in Red/Black wire between appropriate front door control module and mirror. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If circuit is okay, go to next step. If faulty circuit is found, go to step  5 .
  3. Check for open or short in Purple/Black wire between front door control module and mirror. If circuit is okay, go to next step. If faulty circuit is found, go to step  6 .
  4. Replace suspect front door control module. See DOOR MODULES under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in POWER SEATS - SEVILLE article. After repairs, return to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  5. Repair faulty Red/Black wire. After repairs, return to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  6. Repair faulty Purple/Black wire. After repairs, return to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
