Circuit Description
The uses PCM Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) to store software and calibration information. PCM uses a checksum to verify integrity of data or information. EPROM data is divided into 2 halves or sides in EPROM. Integrity of data is checked by adding up data in all locations of EPROM. This is called checksum. If checksum does not match stored checksum value, DTC will set.
