Rear Integration Module: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Seville and 2001 Cadillac Seville. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Before replacing the RIM, record the personalization settings in order to restore the settings after the new module is installed.
  1. Remove the rear storage compartment trim.
  2. Remove the bay board fasteners (2). See Fig 1 .
  3. Pull the bay board (1) away from the body and place the bay board (1) module side up in the rear compartment. See Fig 1 .
  4. Disconnect the electrical connections from the RIM.
  5. Remove the RIM (1) by depressing the locking tabs (2) inward, in order to release the RIM (1) from the bay board. See Fig 2 .
