Frame Bushing Replacement

^ Tools Required
- J 24319-B Steering Linkage and Tie Rod Puller
- J 42090 Rear Support Bushing Installer

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear axle cradle. Refer to Crossmember Replacement.
2. Remove the protective boot from the top of the support bushing.





3. Use the J 24315-B in order to remove the frame bushing from the rear axle support. It may be necessary to place a shim in the center of the bushing to keep the J 24319-B in the proper position.
4. Press out the bushing.
5. Remove the rear axle support bushing from the rear axle support.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the bushing to the cradle using the J 42090.
2. Install the protective boot to the top of the support bushing.
3. Install the rear axle cradle. Refer to Crossmember Replacement.
4. Adjust the rear toe to specifications.
