Scan Tool Data Definitions

Body Control Module (BCM)
Brake Switch: Display indicates ON when the body control module receives a battery voltage signal from the brake switch. Indicates that the brake pedal is depressed.
Park Position Input: Display indicates ON when the body control module receives a ground signal from the automatic transmission shift lock control switch. The switch provides a path to ground in when the shift lever is out of the PARK position.
Brake to Shift Lamp Out: Display indicates ON when the body control module grounds the control circuit of the brake to shift lamp.
