Engine Control Module: Notes

CAUTION: DO NOT program a control module unless directed by a service procedure or by a GM Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). Programming a Engine Control Module (ECM) at any other time will not permanently correct a customer concern.
NOTE: ECM can only be programmed using Pass-Thru Programming method. This programming method requires a Tech 2 or scan tool connected in series with Techline Terminal or a PC with authorized GM programming software and vehicle DLC.
