Programming Verification

  1. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Attempt to start engine. Repeat SERVICE PROGRAMMING procedure if engine does not start or operates poorly.
  2. Before programming ECM, ensure ECM and DLC connections are clean and tight. Ensure Techline operating software is up to date. Ensure calibration part number is correct for vehicle.
  3. Program ECM. If ECM still cannot be programmed properly, replace ECM. See REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION - CARS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
