Vehicle Integration Unit

  1. Record 10-digit Station Identification Station ID (STID) number from replacement Vehicle Integration Unit (VIU) label.
  2. After module replacement, press Blue OnStar(R) button 2 times to connect to OnStar(R). Tell advisor that this vehicle has a NEW VIU and a NEW STID number to put into customer's account.
  3. The OnStar(R) Advisor will reconfigure vehicle with you. Once advisor completes configuration, you can end call. Follow any additional instructions given by Advisor.
  4. Old VIU must be returned for core credit with address label included in original box. Failure to return core will result in a debit.
