Automatic Level Control With RPO Code F45 Diagnostic System Check

  1. Connect scan tool. If scan tool powers up, go to next step. If scan tool does not power up, see TEST A: SCAN TOOL DOES NOT POWER UP  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. Turn ignition on. Try to establish communication with Electronic Suspension Control module (ESC). If scan tool communicates with ESC, go to next step. If scan tool does not communicate with ESC, go to TEST B: SCAN TOOL DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH CLASS 2 DEVICE  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  3. Select ESC module display DTCs function on scan tool. If scan tool displays any DTCs, go to next step. If scan tool does not display any DTCs, see ELECTRONIC - AUTOMATIC LEVEL CONTROL - CADILLAC WITH CVRSS article in SUSPENSION for further diagnosis.
  4. If scan tool does not display any DTCs that begin with a "U", go to next step. If scan tool displays any DTCs that begin with "U", see TEST B: SCAN TOOL DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH CLASS 2 DEVICE  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  5. If scan tool does not display DTC B1007 or B1009, go to next step. If scan tool displays DTC B1007 or B1009, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
  6. If scan tool does not display DTC B1327, go to next step. If scan tool displays DTC B1327, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS in GENERATORS & REGULATORS - DEVILLE article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS.
  7. If scan tool displays any other DTCs for ESC module, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . If scan tool does not display any other DTCs for ESC module, see ELECTRONIC - AUTOMATIC LEVEL CONTROL - CADILLAC WITH CVRSS article in SUSPENSION for further diagnosis.
