Dash Integration Module

Air bag indicator light may remain on after replacement and during programming procedure for Dash Integration Module (DIM). After programming procedure is completed and ignition key is cycled off and on, air bag indicator will turn off.

1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. Select DIM MAIN MENU and then SPECIAL FUNCTIONS. Under special functions, select NEW VIN, (to continue with the procedure) or EXIT to go back to special functions.
2. After NEW VIN is selected, follow scan tool on screen instructions to edit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Press SAVE to save VIN information. Then press DONE to go back to special functions.
3. Under special functions, select SETUP SDM SERIAL NUMBER IN DIM, to continue procedure or EXIT to return to special functions.
4. Scan tool will display DO YOU WANT TO SET UP A DASH INTEGRATION MODULE? If YES is selected, scan tool will display INITIALIZING NEW MODULE. If NO is selected, scan tool will return to SPECIAL FUNCTIONS.
5. Once set up is complete, scan tool will display MODULE INITIALIZED. To complete procedure, select EXIT and go to SPECIAL FUNCTIONS menu. Under special functions, select SET OPTIONS, to continue procedure or EXIT to return to special functions.
6. Under SET OPTIONS, select AUTOMATIC/MANUAL HVAC OPTIONS, HEADLIGHT TYPE OPTION CONFIGURATION, MAGNA STEER OPTION, POINT OF SALE, MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS #1, MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS #2, UNIVERSAL THEFT DETERRENT or PERSONALIZATION OPTION to continue procedure and follow the scan tool on-screen instructions. Press EXIT to return to special functions.
7. Turn ignition off for 10 seconds to prevent future misdiagnosis and turn on. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on with engine off. Use scan tool to retrieve history DTCs from all modules. Clear all history DTCs.
8. Reset owner's desired memory settings. See VEHICLE FEATURE PROGRAMMING FROM DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER . Turn ignition off and on.
