DTC P0574: Powertrain Control Module Detects High Vehicle Speed: Description
Cruise Control Module (CCM) uses cruise engaged circuit to request cruise control. If improper conditions exists, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disables cruise control through cruise inhibit control circuit. During cruise control if PCM detects a vehicle speed above 110 mph (176 km/h), PCM will inhibit cruise control system, and DTC P0574 is stored. When DTC P0574 sets, PCM will disable cruise control, Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) will not illuminate and PCM will store conditions present when DTC sets as fail records data only. A history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive warm-up cycles have occurred without a malfunction. A scan tool can be used to clear DTC.
