- Actual engine speed is within 100 RPM of desired engine speed, for non-California vehicles.
- Actual engine speed is within 125 RPM of desired engine speed, for California vehicles.
- Engine run time is more than 7.5 minutes.
- Predicted catalyst temperature is 788-1202°F (420-650°C).
- Barometric pressure is more than 10.1 psi (75 kPa).
- Engine coolant temperature is 160-248°F (71-120°C).
- Intake air temperature is 21-392°F (6-200°C).
- Engine is in closed loop fuel control.
- Less than 6 tests have been attempted during this ignition cycle.
- One test has been attempted during idle period.
