Diagnostic Procedures

  1. If powertrain diagnostic system check has already been performed, go to next step. If powertrain diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to POWERTRAIN DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Ensure ignition is on. Using scan tool, select CHASSIS APPLICATION and attempt to display ABS data. If ABS data can be displayed, no problem is indicated at this time. See INTERMITTENTS in appropriate TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES article. If ABS data cannot be displayed, perform anti-lock brake diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK in appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES.
