Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering wheel control switch pack (1) to the steering wheel.
    NOTE: Note the correct routing of the electrical wiring. Failure to reinstall the wiring properly could result in damage to the wiring.
  2. Reposition and secure the electrical harness to the harness clips as noted in the removal procedure.
  3. Connect the electrical connector.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the steering wheel control switch pack retaining screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the steering wheel control switch pack retaining screws to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in).

  5. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to AIR BAG MODULES in SIR.
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in SIR.
