Tire Pressure Monitoring System Diagnostic System Check

NOTE:
Use this check as starting point for any tire pressure monitoring system complaint.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If scan tool powers up, go to next step. If scan tool does not power up, go to TEST D: SCAN TOOL DOES NOT POWER UP under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Try to establish scan tool communication with Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). If communication with EBCM is established, go to next step. If communication with EBCM is not established, go to TEST C: SCAN TOOL DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH CLASS 2 DEVICE under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Select DISPLAY DTC function for DRP/ABS/TCS/TIM/VSES (if equipped). If scan tool does not display any DRP/ABS/TCS/TIM/VSES DTCs, go to next step. If scan tool displays any DRP/ABS/TCS/TIM/VSES DTCs, go to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Using scan tool check for DTCs. If scan tool displays DTC C1245, perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . Repair as necessary. If scan tool does not display DTC C1245, system is okay.
