Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove engine protection shield, if equipped. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from front end discriminating sensor connector and disconnect connector. Remove front end discriminating sensor mounting bolt. Remove front end discriminating sensor.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten front end discriminating sensor connector to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
