Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

NOTE: TP sensor is not adjustable. For further testing procedures, perform TP sensor related diagnostic test. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
TP SENSOR VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS

Application (1) Volts
3.1L & 3.4L (2)
3.8L (3)
(1) Voltage range is from idle to wide open throttle.
(2) Voltage range is from less than one volt at closed throttle to greater than 4 volts at wide open throttle. Scan tool range is 0-100 percent or 0.00-5.00 volts.
(3) Throttle position (TP) angle is computed by the powertrain control module (PCM) from the TP sensor voltage. TP angle should display zero percent at idle and 100 percent at wide open throttle or 0.00-5.00 volts.
