Disabling System (Villager)

WARNING: On Villager, backup power supply holds a deployment charge for approximately 3 minutes after battery cable is disconnected. Servicing SRS before 3-minute period may cause accidental air bag deployment and possible personal injury.
  1. Record radio preset frequencies for reprogramming (if equipped). Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least 3 minutes to deplete charge in backup power supply. Remove cover panel on lower portion of steering wheel to access air bag module connector. Disconnect air bag connector and install appropriate air bag simulator to vehicle harness connector (in place of air bag). See AIR BAG SIMULATOR .
  2. Remove center instrument panel finish panel and glove box. Disconnect passenger's side air bag module connector located behind glove box. Connect air bag simulator to vehicle connector (in place of air bag). See AIR BAG SIMULATOR . Connect negative battery cable.
