Fuel Pressure Regulator: Installation
- Apply a few drops of clean engine oil to "O" ring seals on fuel pressure regulator. Be sure to locate atmospheric vent toward front of engine on fuel pressure regulator.
- Twist while pushing inward on fuel pressure regulator, until fully seated against fuel rail. Position clamp around both fuel pressure regulator and fuel rail.
- Install fuel pressure regulator clamp bolt. Tighten fuel pressure regulator clamp bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
.
- Install atmospheric vent hose on to fuel pressure regulator port. Using scan tool turn ON fuel pump to pressurize system. Check for fuel leaks.
- Install air inlet panel. See AIR INLET PANEL
under MISCELLANEOUS.
