Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2004 GMC Yukon XL, 2004 GMC Yukon, 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2004 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the I/P trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Lower the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Loosen the bolt retaining the radio antenna module in order to disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the cable (2) from the radio antenna module.
  5. Remove the cable clips (1) from the roof.

  7. Remove the cable clips (1) from the A-pillar.
  8. Disconnect the cable (3) from the radio.
  9. Disconnect the electrical wire connector (4).

  11. Remove the radio cable from the vehicle.
