Test Description

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2004 GMC Yukon XL, 2004 GMC Yukon, 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2004 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

  1. 5:  This step tests for a shorted yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer.
  2. 6:  This step tests for a shorted master cylinder pressure sensor. The presence of DTC C0110 is normal during this step.
DTC C0290 or C0292 (W/JL4)

Step Action Yes No
IMPORTANT: Always use connector test adapters when performing tests to avoid damage to delicate connector terminals.
