Installation Procedure

  1. Install the PCM to the vehicle.
  2. Install the PCM wiring harness.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  4. Tighten the PCM electrical connector screws (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the PCM electrical connector bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  5. Install the PCM to the PCM housing.

  7. Install the PCM housing cover.
  8. Install the bolt (1) to the PCM cover housing.

    Tighten:  Tighten the PCM housing cover bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  10. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Air Deflector Replacement - Front in Body Front End.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  13. Program the PCM. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Programming.
