Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Cadillac CTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install the following grommets to the wiper motor module:
- round (2)
- oval (5)
- pin (7)

Place the wiper motor module into the vehicle.
Connect the wiper motor module electrical connector (4).
Align the wiper module locator hole (7) to the pin located inside rail of the driver side fender.
Align the locator hole (6) to the hole in the pillar flange.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the outer fastener (5) first.
Tighten: Tighten the outer fastener first to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Install the center fastener (3) second.
Tighten: Tighten the center fastener to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Install the air inlet grille (1,3). Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (LHD) or Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (RHD) in Body Front End.
Install the wiper arm assemblies. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement (LHD) or Wiper Arm Replacement (RHD) .
Install the wiper motor fuse in the underhood fuse block.
