Installation Procedure

Install the control module (2) to the wire harness shield (1) of the lower steering column.

Connect the control module electrical connectors (2).

Install the knee bolster. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
Enable the SIR system. Refer to ZONE 3 in Air Bag Restraint Systems. .
Program the steering column control module. Refer to STEERING COLUMN CONTROL MODULE PROGRAMMING .
