Installation Procedure

  1. Install the wire harness to the steering wheel control switch assembly.

  3. Align the control switch assembly engagement tabs to the steering wheel.

    Push in on the control switch assembly in order to secure the assembly to the steering wheel.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the control harness retainer and screw.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2.3 N.m (20 lb in).

  6. Install the control switch assembly screws

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2.3 N.m (20 lb in).

  8. Connect the electrical connector to the steering wheel control.
  9. Secure the connector to the retaining clip.
  10. Install the inflatable restraint module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  11. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
