Test Description
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
- 1:
Determines if the malfunction is present.
- 2:
Determines if the malfunction was due to no map DVD in the navigation module DVD player.

- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Open, then close the driver door to cancel RAP.
- Turn ON the ignition with the engine off.
- Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTC.
- Remove and reinsert the map DVD.
- Retrieve DTCs from the navigation radio.

- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Open, then close the driver door to cancel RAP.
- Wait one minute.
- Turn ON the ignition with the engine off.
- Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTC.
- Install a new map DVD in the radio.
- Retrieve DTCs from the navigation radio.

- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Open, then close the driver door to cancel RAP.
- Allow the navigation radio to cool for one hour.
- Turn ON the ignition with the engine off.
- Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTC.
- Remove, then insert the map DVD.
- Retrieve DTCs from the navigation radio.
