Installation Procedure

Using spray cleaner GM P/N 12377981 (Canadian P/N 10953463) or equivalent, clean the wiring harness O-ring seal surface of the fuel sender.

Install the fuel level sender.

IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to the level sensor wiring, unclip the fuel return tube from the fuel sender and route the level sensor wiring behind the fuel return tube. Clip the fuel return tube back into the fuel sender retaining tabs.

Connect the fuel level sensor electrical connector.
Install the sending unit. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement (4.8L and 5.3L Engines) or Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement (5.3L (L59) Engine) or Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement (6.0L Engine - Dual Tanks - Front) or Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement (6.0L Engine - Dual Tanks - Rear) .
