Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT: Lightly coat the MAP sensor seal with clean engine oil before installing the sensor.

  1. Install the MAP sensor (1).

  2. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector (1).
  3. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L (RPO LQ4)) or Engine Sight Shield Replacement (6.0L (RPO LQ9)) in Engine Mechanical-4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.
