Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the cable clips (1) to the A-pillar.

  3. Connect the electrical wire connector (4).
  4. Connect the cable (3) to the radio.
  5. Install the cable clips (1) to the roof.

  7. Connect the cable (2) to the radio antenna module.
  8. Connect the wire connector to the radio antenna module.
  9. Install the bolt retaining the radio antenna module to the roof.
    NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the retaining bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  10. Install the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in Interior Trim.
  11. Install the I/P trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
