Installation Procedure

- Install the steering gear protection shield to the steering gear.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the steering gear protection shield retaining bolts (3) to the steering gear.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 180 N.m (132 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Perform a four wheel alignment. Refer to MEASURING WHEEL ALIGNMENT (WITH REAR WHEEL STEERING) or MEASURING WHEEL ALIGNMENT (WITHOUT REAR WHEEL STEERING) in Wheel Alignment.
