July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Connect the starter motor "S" terminal wire.

    Tighten:  Tighten the starter solenoid S terminal nut to 4 N.m (35 lb. in.).

  2. Connect the starter motor BAT terminal wire.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery cable to starter terminal nut to 10 N.m (89 lb. in.).

  3. Install the starter motor.
  4. Install the starter motor mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the starter motor mounting bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb. ft.).

  5. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement in Engine Mechanical-4.6L.
  6. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
