Driver Door Module (DDM), Passenger Door Module (PDM)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The DDM/PDM may sometimes be called the driver door switch/passenger door switch. The DDM and PDM receive discrete inputs from the front door ajar switches. The DDM and PDM send a serial data message to the BCM indicating the status of the front door ajar switches. The DDM also monitors the door cylinder switch. When the door key is used the DDM sends a serial data message to the BCM indicating that a valid key has been used to unlock the driver door cylinder and the BCM will disarm CTD system.
