Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Cadillac DTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at all rear object sensors.
IMPORTANT: A short to voltage on the component signal circuit may cause this DTC to set.
  2. Ignition ON, transmission in DRIVE for front parking assist and in REVERSE for rear parking assist, test for 8.0-9.0V between object sensor supply voltage circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test the supply voltage circuit for a short to ground. If all circuits test normal, replace the object alarm module.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the supply voltage circuit for a short to voltage. If all circuits test normal, replace the object alarm module.
  3. Connect each object sensor one at a time, while monitoring Sensor Feed Voltage Output scan tool parameter. The parameter value should be greater than 8.0V.
    • If less than the specified value after an individual object sensor is connected, test or replace that object sensor.
