Steering Column Lock Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the knee bolster.





2. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the steering column module (1).
3. Loosen the retaining screw on the steering column control module. Slide the control module out of the retaining bracket.

Installation Procedure





1. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the control module (1) to the steering column and tighten the retaining screw.

Tighten screw to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).
2. Connect the electrical connectors on the steering column control module.
3. Install the knee bolster.
4. Program the steering column control module. Refer to Steering Column Lock Control Module Programming and Setup.
