Navigation System - Poor or Inoperative TV Reception

Schematic Reference: Radio/Navigation System Schematics DEFINITION: When using the navigation radio TV function, the TV reception (TV picture and/or TV sound) is poor or inoperative.
1	Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?	Go to Step 2	Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information
2	Turn ON the ignition. The Cadillac emblem screen appears on the navigation radio. Leave the vehicle in PARK. Press the audio MENU button on the radio. The audio menu appears on the display. Press the TV button on the radio audio menu screen. This button is present with UE7 only. Select a TV station. The TV should be clear on the radio display. Does the system operate normally?	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems	Go to Step 3
3	Disconnect the coaxial cable leading to each TV antenna (within the rear window glass). Test each TV antenna and coaxial cable for an open, a short to ground or a short to voltage. Make sure the ignition and the rear defog/defrost is turned ON with the engine OFF when testing for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 11	Go to Step 4
4	Disconnect the TV antenna module connector. Turn ON the ignition with the engine off. Test each of the following circuits for a short to voltage: The antenna select Baud 1 signal (+) circuit The antenna select Baud 2 signal (+) circuit The antenna select supply voltage circuit The antenna select signal (-) circuit Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.Is voltage present?	Go to Step 6	Go to Step 5
5	Test each of the following circuits for an open or a short to ground. The antenna select Baud 1 signal (+) circuit The antenna select Baud 2 signal (+) circuit The antenna select supply voltage circuit The antenna select signal (-) circuit Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 11	Go to Step 7
6	Test the TV signal circuit between the TV antenna module and the navigation radio for an open, a short to ground or a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 11	Go to Step 7
7	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the TV antenna module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 11	Go to Step 8
8	Replace the TV antenna module. Refer to TV Antenna Module Replacement . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 11	Go to Step 9
9	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the navigation radio. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 11	Go to Step 10
10	Replace the navigation radio. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems. Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 11	-
11	Make sure all connections are tight. Turn ON the ignition with the engine off. Select the TV option on the navigation radio. Select a local station. Is the picture strong?	-	Go to Step 3
