Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the radio harness connector X4 and amplifier harness connector X3.
  2. Test for less than 1 volt on the navigation audio signal (+) circuit radio harness connector terminal 7 and ground.
    • If greater than specified value, test for a short to voltage.
  3. Test for greater than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (+) circuit radio harness connector terminal 7 and ground.
    • If less than specified value, test for a short to ground.
  4. Test for less than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (+) circuit radio harness connector terminal 7 and the amplifier harness connector terminal 13.
    • If greater than specified value, test for an open/high resistance.
  5. Test for less than 1 volt on the navigation audio signal (-) circuit radio harness connector terminal 17 and ground.
    • If greater than specified value, test for a short to voltage.
  6. Test for greater than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (-) circuit radio harness connector terminal 17 and ground.
    • If less than specified value, test for a short to ground.
  7. Test for less than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (-) circuit radio harness connector terminal 17 and the amplifier harness connector terminal 5.
    • If greater than specified value, test for an open/high resistance.
  8. If all circuits test normal, replace the radio.
