Installation Procedure

Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer (1).
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in the Preface section

Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer bolt (1). Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer nuts (1). Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Connect the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
Position the carpet to the floor.
Install a scan tool.
Using the special functions menu on the scan tool, reset the yaw rate sensor.
Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle.
