Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedures Disable roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove body side lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) . Remove rear upper garnish molding. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) .
1	Remote Control Start Antenna Assembly Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector.
2	Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Tip: The module slides and snaps into the body structure. Disconnect the electrical connector. If a replacement module is installed, program the module. Refer to Control Module References .

Preliminary Procedures

Disable roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
Remove body side lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) .
Remove rear upper garnish molding. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) .

Remote Control Start Antenna Assembly
Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector.

Remote Control Door Lock Receiver
Tip:

The module slides and snaps into the body structure.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
If a replacement module is installed, program the module. Refer to Control Module References .
