Removal Procedure

- Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
- Remove the accelerator cable slug from the throttle body pulley.
- Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator control bracket.
- Disconnect and remove the accelerator cable from the engine bracket.
- Remove the driver side knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Unseat the accelerator cable retainer (3) from the accelerator pedal lever (2).
- Squeeze the accelerator cable tangs (1) together, and push the cable through the front of dash.
- Remove the accelerator cable.
