Installation Procedure

Connect the control module electrical connectors.
Install the control module.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Install the control module nuts.

Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
Install the ESB intermediate cover. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Intermediate Cover Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
Program the energy storage control module. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Vehicle Control Systems.
