Installation Procedure

  1. Install the HCM to the PCM cover.

  2. Connect the HCM electrical connector.
    1. Install the electrical connector.
    2. Slide the gray lever rearward completely until it locks.
  3. Connect the ESB. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Service Disconnect/Connect (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  4. Program the HCM. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Vehicle Control Systems.
