Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Cadillac STS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition ON, verify that DTCs U1826, U1827, or C0292 are not set.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the yaw/lateral acceleration sensor connector.
  3. Ignition OFF for 5 minutes, test for less than 10 Ω between the low reference circuit terminal 6 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the EBCM.
  4. Ignition ON, test for 11.75-12.25 V between the 12 V reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test the 12 V reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the 12 V reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw rate/lateral acceleration sensor.
